The wainscot, base and chair-rail wrap around steel columns throughout the church.

Restored to it's original glory, the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, South Carolina, boasts new sanctuary furnishings and vaulted ceiling. Rift-sawn Red Oak, finished a glowing golden shade, was used to custom fabricate the altar stairs, decorative grills, trefoil and board paneling, wainscot and column wraps. The intricate ceiling with its plethora of curves and arches, highlighted by custom cylinder moldings at vault intersections, creates a dignified, ceremonial presence within the space.
A board-paneled wainscot divides the chancel area from church pews.
